Description

Imaged on nights of 2020/10/16, 2020/10/17, 2020/10/18, 2020/10/31, 2020/11/1, 2020/11/3

Abell 62 (PK47.1-4.2) is a rarely imaged planetary nebula in Aquila. This is the fourth image on Astrobin. Abell62 is a medium size of Abell PNs, measuring 2.7 arc minutes and has a magnitude listed at 14.8. There is barely a hint of it on the RGB image. The Ha and Oiii signals are of comparable strength, with the Ha forming an outer ring around the Oiii.

The progenitor star is presumably one of the three small stars in the center, perhaps the center one. They all look identical, so it is not clear.
